The Giving Tree Project is a collaborative effort involving The Friends of Ely Park, Niece Lumber, Rago Auctions, and many very accomplished area artists and woodworkers. Slabs of a London planetree that once stood in Ely Park have been milled, kiln-dried, and offered to the very talented artists who volunteered to make works of art for auction. The fabulous creations will be included in Rago Auctions’ Modern Design auction on May 14, 2021.
It is with great appreciation The Friends of Ely Park wish to thank the following artists and woodworkers for their generous contributions: Mira Nakashima, Carter Sio, David Wilson Antick, Jeffrey Greene Design Studio, David Robinson Natural Edge, Birdie Miller Designs, Gene Salerno Funk and Junk, Shaun Smith Rustic Red Door, Mark Sfirri, Ed Murphy, John Landis, Michael Oates, Robert Beck & Ed Murphy. Preview the auction pieces at The Friends of Ely Park website. For details and bidding visit Rago Auctions’ Modern Design, see lots 704-717.
The proceeds will benefit The Greater Lambertville Chamber of Commerce for the exclusive purpose of funding the Jim Hamilton Memorial Shad Fest Scholarship which assists high school seniors who seek to pursue a career in the arts and which now includes the culinary arts.
